Hey everyone! today we did another current events quiz and it was a recap of the whole time we have been doing it. The thing I enjoyed the most about this was that I liked how it was a recap of the whole time we had been doing it so we had known what the questions were going to be like. The thing i found the most challenging was that I had never seen this question before so it was something new to learn.

Hey everyone! today my class and I did the first task of the summer learning journey. For this task, we had to find a piece of art that was on the website, and then we had to color it in a change one thing/color about the picture that we think would look better. The thing I enjoyed the most about this task is that it was colored in so it made it more exciting. The thing I found the most challenging was trying to find one color that I wanted to change because overall the photo looked really good.

Hey everybody! This week we did another current events quiz I picked The Solomon islands has decided to ban Facebook. I really enjoyed it because it was very interesting to read about why the government wants to ban it. The thing I found the most challenging about this activity was probably that there is not enough information on all of the questions and so you sometimes can't understand what they mean. To be BTB next time I will choose a question with some more information so I can write more about it.

Hey everyone! This week we did another current events quiz. I pick this question why does Stuart Nash want to ban all campervans that don't have toilets. The thing I enjoyed the most about this question is that it was really interesting to find out why he wants to ban all campervans that don't have toilets and the thing I found the most challenging was that there wasn't much information about why he wants to ban it.

The thing I most enjoyed about making this one was that it was probably the best one to make out of all of them. I watched the video so it all made sense to me. The thing I found the most challenging about this was that there wasn't that much information on how he made it and all of that all of the information was just about the scenes in it.

This week and last week when have been doing some more T-shaped literacy. So I made a sportsmanship guide for dummies to learn how to be good sportsmanship. The thing I most enjoyed about making this was that I was learning things myself that could help anyone and me to be better sportsmanship. The thing I found the most challenging was probably trying to find the main words that would represent what being good sportsmanship could be like! I hope you learn something from this.

Hello everyone! This week we did another current advent quiz. I did mine on benne and what song she used to win the APRA silver scroll award. The thing I most enjoyed about doing this is that I got to find out more about benne and what other songs she sings. Hello everybody for the past 2 weeks we have been learning about sportsmanship! Sportsmanship shows three values excellence, respect, and friendship. This poster has talked about how can we /do we show sportsmanship in all aspects of our life. The thing that I enjoyed most about this activity is that it is something different than we have ever really focused on. The most challenging thing about this activity was trying to find out the different aspects of it.

A Green puppy!

Today for our current advents quiz we got to pick a question we would like to answer. I picked this one that had happened in Italy and it was that a little green puppy had been born. Everybody says that green puppies are extremely rare and not many people have them or have seen them. The thing I enjoy about doing these current advents articles is that I get to learn new things and find out new things. We have been doing this every week or a couple of days so far and I have already learned quite a lot. The most challenging thing about this is that we have to use what we already know and we are not allowed to search for any answers we have to use prior knowledge. The thing I am looking forward to doing another one of these is that I will learn more interesting facts.

Today we have been learning about integers. We have done maths buddy tasks to explain how to do them a. The most thing I enjoyed learning about integers was that I was learning new things that I have never learnt before. The most challenging task about integers was that it was a whole new maths task that I had never even heard of before.

Hey, guys this week we have started a new maths rotation. For this maths rotation, we have compleated two diagnostic tests, looked at our results and looked at what we need to work on. This week I found out I needed to work on my timetables so I made a timetable DLO to show you how to do it. The thing I found the most challenging this week was trying to work out how to read timetables and how to complete them. The thing I found the most enjoyable about making this was probably that I was learning new things and it was a new maths task I had never completed before.

Good morning guys! yesterday we started a quiz called current events. There were approximately 15 questions and we had to answer them all by choosing A B or C. Today we chose one of the questions we answered yesterday and found out as much information as we could. The thing that I found the most challenging out of this task would most likely be finding out the information and finding out what they have gone up to! The thing I most enjoyed was probably making the poster and finding out new things.

 

Camp reflection.

A few weeks ago we just got back from a 4-day camp! We traveled 4 hours to bridge valley which is in a little town called wakefield. In bridge valley, there were many activities that we could book and a massive man-made pond that had 2 waterslides going into it. The most thing I enjoyed about writing this piece is probably memorizing what we did and how fun this camp was! The most challenging thing about writing this piece of writing was probably remembering the little things that happened that weren't the big activities.

New Learning

26,000 dollar bag destroyed!

Hey guys, Today we started this little trial for these quizzes. We answered all of the questions and then went back to find a question we wanted to find out about! I choose this one that was about why a 26,000 dollar alligator bag was destroyed by the Australian customs. I really enjoyed that I was finding out new things that could be just common knowledge. I found it challenging to find heaps of information about why they destroyed the bag and why she even brought a 26,000 bag in the first place!

Making a kahoot! Te Reo Maori week!

 

Kia Ora guys! This week is Te Reo Maori week. We have to post three posts this week of Some Te Reo Maori activities we have made. My third activity was making a Kahoot. This Kahoot has different Maori words that you have to guess what they are in English. The most challenging thing about making this Kahoot was trying to find different words to go I it that wasn't too hard or won't too easy. The thing that I most enjoyed about making this was that I hadn't made a Kahoot in about 1-2 years! Hope you like all my posts.

Kia Ora guys!  This week is Te Reo Maori week. I made a Pixel drawing to recreate Maui and the sun story!  It found it really hard to try and create some straight lines without making it look bad. I enjoyed using my creativity and using different websites and tools.

Hey guys! This week is Te Reo Maori week, it is all about learning new things and what happened in 1972. Today I made Wordsearch that had all Maori words that mostly everybody will know! The most thing that I enjoyed about this activity was finding out some new Maori words and using a new website. The most challenging thing was finding some words to make it sort of easy!

Hello, everyone, this slide is about the different biomes/sea zones. In this me and my friend talk about the different zones in the sea and some facts and the sea creatures that live in that specific zone. The name of all the different zones is Sunlit zone (yes it is spelled like that) Twilight zone, Dark zone, Abyss zone, and the trenches!

Today we read a book called: A invasion of yellow crazies. The yellow crazies are a type of ant that is a yellow type of ant that is not dangerous. This ant only sprays a type of acid and can make people's skin quite itchy. They can crawl into your house at night and can climb into anything such as food, beds, machines, clean washing ( be aware they can spray their acid all over it), and many other things. We created a title that could be used for the book, as you can tell we didn't do a very good job of making the ants. These ants are part of an ecosystem and are a living organism.

Hello everybody today My classmates and I did this really cool activity. This is called Hello Goodbye.  You say Hello to everything that is new and You say Goodbye to the things that you missed. We made this so people could understand what we miss and we are excited about or not excited about it. The most challenging of making this it was me thinking about my sleep in and how I miss them. The best thing about making this is that it was a  really fun activity. I have never done this before so I found it really fun.

I think that my Advantage is that we can learn at like 5:00 at night instead of fitting it 6 hrs and 30 mins. And the Disadvantage is that we have to do work and it can't just be like the first few weeks in quarantine.

Making a Kite!

Today for our creative writing we made a Kite! These kites were fun to make. We sort of made up ur own way because my mum knew how to make a kite. We made this kite because it represents Matariki and connects to it. When they flew te kites it was a resemblance that Matariki connects with the earth and the stars.

Hi everyone today for our reading we got to create some stars. My mum and I had a crack at it and tried our best. They are way harder then they look. If you are making these I really recommend all the same size of flax so it looks neater. Also, try and get the soft bits of flax and not the hardcore of it. I liked following the video the most because you can pause it and it goes through step by step. My mum's id on the right and mine is on the left. We compared it to what the lady did and I think I won.

Rotational symmetry

Hello everybody today for my maths I worked on rotational symmetry and point symmetry. Rotational symmetry is if you can get a shape and turn it 180 degrees and it will still look the same.  I found this task challenging because I have never really learnt it so I just watched the video a few times and tried my best. I also really enjoyed it because when you learn new things you want to keep learning them because you finally get the hang of it.

The when made our way around the camping ground on our bikes looking stupid.

Good morning everybody, This was my maths for today which I really enjoyed because it was fun to make and it was interesting to find out how many meters some of the rooms in my house are. I found it quite challenging to get all of the walls right and the exact same length as they actually are because our house is not square. If anybody has a chance to do this I would recommend it because it is actually really inspiring.

I also wish I had a smaller house because this is sorta difficult!!
