Activity 2
Letter to a friend

Dear Poppy
I have been in America and I am traveling to New Zealand on a Waka.  There is no room for me to lye down and sleep so I have to sleep on top of the seats.  It is not comfy because it is made out of wood.  To get water, it has to rain, and I open my mouth and look up at the sky for the rain to fall into my mouth.
I eat fish out of the ocean that we all catch.  Because it is so hot, the fish cooks under the sun.  I can't wait to eat proper food!

There are lots of white caps out here which makes the boat really shaky and lots of people are getting seasick.  I am excited to place my feet on the ground of New Zealand and looking forward to seeing family, houses, food, and water.

No, I wouldn't like to be in a Waka Ama race because it would be hard arm work for one arm, and to change to the other one it might slow you down.  You also have to go a long way!

My holiday footprint

WALT retell our holiday I enjoyed learning how to use the curve. I found it challenging going to the back of my head and thinking about what I did on the holidays.

My term two Reflection

WALT use a new app called piZap
 I enjoyed playing around with lots of the different faces and eyes and noses. I found it challenging to find the right head for my girl This is Grace she has blond hair and flower earrings she loves school she thinks it is the best.

My Term 2 Reflection
This term I have really enjoyed learning new things like learning about Matariki and spark.
I found it really funny when we were reading the book called Dunger and the class was having a bit of a laugh at the funny words.
This team I am proud of making things on my own during reading writing and maths.
Next term I am looking forward to seeing our new teacher after  Mrs.Hofman has left.

Scooters shouldn't be banned

I enjoyed thinking about all the ideas I had to use in my persuasive writing. I found it challenging to use strong language

Scootering should not be banned

Hi my name is Grace and today I’m going to talk about how scooters should not  be banned at lunch time in schools.    

My most important reason is confidence you've got to learn how to ride a scooter before you take it to school. if the little kids come up to you and they turn the wrong way  and crash you should definitely  go and help them.

Another point is sharing space you should have half of the court each and be fare and take turns on Certain days of the week. You could have scooters on Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday which leaves you having no scooters on Tuesday,Friday.

Finally learn to play games on scooters.  you can play Made up games and scatter tag and lots of other games that you play on feet but you are just playing them on scooters.

That's why you should be allowed scooters at school.

WALT put the ideas from the story into our own words   I enjoyed finding out more things about space and planets I found it challenging finding things to put in my sequencing.

My vocabulary activite

WALT find interesting words in our story I liked doing this because I found a little bit tricky but I managed to get through it I found it challenging finding some of the words in my vocabulary activity because some of the words were a bit hard
  

Giving Directions

WALT follow directions on maths buddy I found it fun doing the lesson and making my first DLO. I found it challenging to get the DLO right.

How to make butter slime

WALT I am showing the class how to make butter slime I enjoyed going home and measuring the cornflower and dishwashing liquid I found it challenging to think of it in my head because I made it the day before
